Merciful International Guild

Merciful International Guild (MIG), a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), is non-profit making, community based, registered under section 10 of Kenya’s NGO Act 1990. Is committed to sourcing from resources to rehabilitate, train and develop the youth, women and children and provide homes to neglected persons both old and young in Kenya, COMESA Region and nay other needy Country approved out of Africa.

Mission

Our Mission is to alleviate poverty and promote health, education, water and sanitation, sound living standards of the youth, women, HIV and AIDS, Orphans and neglected old people. These will be achieved through integrated development of: Micro Enterprises, Community Facilities affordable habitat for the orphans, street children, HIV and AIDS Victims, neglected old people and disaster victims. Participate in disaster rescue evacuation operations and support victims.

Objectives

  1. Creating Societies where women and children, youth and old are all valued equally, appreciated, respected and universally provided for in areas of health, social development, and their human rights respected, through integrated;
  2. Rehabilitation, training and development of neglected children, street children, youth, women the old persons, orphans, Aid/HIV neglected victims, victims of child abuse, those that live at the abject poverty below poverty level in both urban and rural areas. 
  3. Development of communal based basic services of water, sanitation, health, education, waste collection, storm drainage, street-lighting, paved footpaths, feeder roads, emergency accesses, schools both nursery and primary, secondary and vocational, and clinics within easy reach, safe areas for children to play and places from communities to meet and socialize.
  4. Alleviation of poverty by provision of grassroots sustainable economic empowerment through; micro-credits and revenue generating enterprises for the Community, to be coupled with security of tenure, access to credit as the key to unleashing the vast potential of the urban and rural poor in progressively improving their living and working environment and livelihoods. To provide critical element of local institutional support in creating financially self-supporting and sustainable urban and rural up-grading programmes.

Target Groups

Orphans, neglected children, street children, youth, women, old neglected persons, orphans, HIV/AID neglected victims, victims of child abuse, all disasters victims and those that live at the abject poverty below poverty level in both urban and rural areas.
